International Mobility & Innovation

International mobility and innovation: A pan-European approach to professional mobility in the engineering sector. To achieve cross-border mobility for engineers is one of the key factors in strengthening the bonds between the member states and achieving a unique level of competency and recognition. The exponential growth in the mobility of students has not been followed by the same growth in professional mobility. Despite the effort made in the last decade, in what concerns the engineering profession, the standards among member states are not homogeneous, thus preventing the de facto of the international profession in the EU. This paper will present the current state of the mobility for engineers and propose a possible way forward.
